The noun “retreat” means a place you can go to be alone, to get away from it all. Wild Flower Retreat is a place nestled in the Silent Valley of Maenam Sanctuary at Borong, Ravangla. Our retreat is one of the best eco-friendly hotels in Sikkim. Our rooms and mountain cottages are in a two acre wildflower garden. The Himalayan snow peaks can be seen from all rooms and cottages. Wild Flower Retreat is a destination by itself due to its location and the abundance of open space. Therefore, you can spend hours in our gardens, take a lazy stroll down the village road or the jungle trails. Visit the Old Monastery which is a short walk away. For a little more action you can take a hike to the waterfalls or to the hot springs in the Rangeet River valley or climb up to Maenam Top. We do not have WiFi, TV in our rooms.
The retreat offers an excellent vantage point for watching rare birds. You can see Yuhinas, Barwings, Sunbirds, Flycatchers, Babblers and Thrushes within the property, which no hotels in Sikkim can offer.

We stayed there during our last trip to Borong in Mar 2020. We stayed in the "Orchid" (which is the only 4 beaded cottage). Rooms were spacious & very well organized. We spent 4 days there as we went there specially for our Birding purpose. We clicked lots of images though we have to wait till 3rd day for some great hovering shots of sunbirds...
We 3 friends had been to this place during March 2020. Our main target was bird photography. In one word this place is just Amazing. We photographed lots of Birds including Ms Gould Sunbird. In addition clear view of snow capped mountain range was bonus for us. We stayed in Cottage (Fir). Enough spacious for even 3 adult males. Beautiful trees all around.

The resort is 18 kms from Ravangla. A place very close to nature. If lucky, one can see a clear view of Mt. Kanchenjunga from the balcony. The rooms are big, washrooms are super clean, well maintained. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The food served is very tasty, homely food. I will genuinely recommend this place to every nature lover.
